Being healthy and exercising does not necessary mean having to spend hours and hours at the gym. There are activities that you can participate in that are plenty of fun.
Plan outdoor family activities such as walking, biking, a walk around the mall, etc.

I recommend having a basket ball hoop in your back garden.
